Never know how the weather is going to be so check the forecast. There isn't an indoors so dress appropriately. You're going to spend too much on everything so anything you buy has to be a good value for you. The pit pass is a must if you want to talk to the pilots or watch the crew work on the planes or just get a good selfie with the planes. You can get good pics with your cell phone but a telephoto lens helps with action shots. The schedule changes and the participants change based on how the day unfolds so be prepared for anything to show up. Or not.
