I had to call an ambulance for myself the first Saturday of January. They took me to Star regional in Athens. I have never had to use an ambulance before. Of course they got me right in I was in terrible abdominal pain. My daughter showed up shortly after I did. They wanted me to give a urine sample. They never gave me a cup and I was in too much pain to Go to the bathroomgo to the bathroom. I eventually grabbed a bucket off the counter, I set it on the floor and used it as a toilet. Eventually the nurse came in and was harsh with me because there was stool in it therefore it was useless. She still did not bring me a potty chair or a cup. My daughter eventually stops someone in the hall to bring me those things. I don't remember a lot of the visit because I was in so much pain but my daughter said my treatment was horrible and she is a medical assistant. 4 days later I got a call from my doctor sending me to an emergency room now. My daughter refused to take me to Star regional and took me to fort Loudon medical center emergency room. From there I was admitted and had to have emergency surgery for a perforated colon.
