My husband became friends with the owner, Sharon, via a Facebook page for commercial fisherman. We met her in person in the fall of 2013 at a commercial fisherman event and immediately felt a connection. I was four months pregnant at the time of our first meeting, and on the drive home my husband turned to me and said "Do you want to get professional pregnancy pictures done?" I hadn't thought about it, but immediately loved the idea! He said "Let's have Sharon do them!" We are not local to Newport and the drive for us made us a little hesitant, but we felt that Sharon was a kindred spirit and worth the drive. Fast forward to December 2013 when we met with Sharon for our maternity photo shoot. Not only did she come up with some amazing ideas on how to do our gender reveal, but she incorporated in our family history of commercial fishing and our love of the Newport bayfront. Needless to say, the pictures she took were AMAZING! So amazing in fact, that we drove 2.5 hours when our daughter was born to have her newborn pictures professionally taken by Sharon. If I had been more comfortable & Sharon closer, I would have had her in the delivery room taking pictures! The pictures she took of our darling little Mia are beyond words. She captures the spirt, love and happiness that the people feel. I HIGHLY recommend Sharon for any of your photography needs! You will end up with a friend for life and some beautiful pictures.
