Colorado is full of breweries, many of them lackluster. Not the case at tommyknocker. The draft offerings are diverse and inventive. All of those medals are on the wall for a reason. On this occasion we enjoyed the blood orange IPA, mildly fruity and balanced with a slight citrus zing on the back end, as well as the green chile lager. The lady, a New Mexican was blown away by how well the green chile flavor came through without overshadowing the light and refreshing lager malt. Delightfully kitchy, but thoughtfully brewed, tommyknocker is a bright spot in a sea of mediocrity.
