I'm 41 i spent 6 months at this facility on floor 2 in their transitional unit before going home. I have never been to a nursing home before this.
I have heard bad things about other nursing homes during my stay, like this was cloud 9 compared to others.

Being so young I got along very well with the staff. I did have some money stolen from my room. But they do have a bank alternative that I should have used. Even though I was very homesick after a while a kind of got used to it and felt like I knew the place. I think most of their staff is terrific and will help a lot with new residents and trying to make them feel at home. I am in a wheelchair, this place is extremely wheelchair friendly I didn't have any problems getting around at all. That was very comforting to me.

Food for the residents here is disgusting and I think something you should be done to introduce healthier meals like fresh vegetables. There is nothing going to be done differently if you have a low salt diet unless you request it every time. All the food is super salty. Although there is a Cafe alternative for everyone. I Always went the cafe as residents were served for free.
They served mostly leftovers but they do have some fried food like steak and cheese and mozzarella sticks, they have a hair salon where residents can get their hair done once a month.
Another thing that I didn't like is that residents got only one shower a week.
On a positive note they have dogs that come in and visit every now and then. On my floor there were 2 cats that live in the area and every floor has a cat. If your old, there are plenty of activities to do. So overall I give this Place a 4.
