I don t know where to start. We hired this company...

I don t know where to start. We hired this company to paint the exterior and the deck. It started out well, the color consultant was great, sales person was nice, everything was fine.

Then the job started. They assign you a project manager, who your lucky if you ever meet, and the work is contracted out to subs. The subs showed up and didn t really have a clue what to do. We had to show them what goes where.

They ordered the wrong color for the shutters too and the sub eventually had us pick the paint tile up so he could go get the right paint. The manager never showed back up with it.

The siding looks fine, the trim is cracking a bit after a month and could use another coat. They didn t open any doors the painted so I had to paint the front ring they left where it was closed and the spines.

Whatever at this point, it s over I guess. Then they cashed the check we wrote. They doubled it somehow. They cashed my check and created a check draft, that was a new one, and took double what we paid them from our account. They sent use the money back but we overdrafted that account because of this.

Then three weeks after they were done the paint starts peeling up off the deck. They were supposed to scrap the old paint off it and didn t so when it rained it bubbled up and peeled in places.

They said they would sand it down and repain it after two weeks of calling. Then when someone finally shows up he ruins the whole deck with a pressure washer and never comes back.

Now the manager is supposed to come but he isn t returning my calls. They don t seem to really care at all.

Update: Our deck has looked like this for two weeks now. Wood is fuzzy and splintered from them destroying it with the pressure washer. Now it s starting to rot because it s not protected at all.

Manager came out and said he would call the next day with some timing for a crew to fix it. They no longer seem to care about fixing the original issue just the destruction they caused after. Well he never called. Was supposed to email the next day, didn t email.

You have been warned. Go elsewhere. They offer $10 for a positive review after your job so that s where those came from.

Update 2: Eventually a senior person came out. We have also been working with trust dale and they can actually get them to do things. They came back to do the touch ups, sub again had no idea what to do and had to be told. No one from the company was here.

They finally fixed the wood issues they caused with the pressure washer, had to replace half the deck boards, sand down flat surfaces, etc... They didn t prep some of the boards and I was told the next crew would do that. It s bubbling a peeling where they did nothing as well.

Since it s new wood now its just been sitting since October. Finally someone comes today, back at it with a washer, it ran out of gas after 20 minutes and he left.

Will report back when/if this is ever done the right way.

Final Update: They finally came back to paint. The boards they ruined and didn't replace look just as bad now that they are painted, so it still looks like garbage in a quarter of the deck. The painter flat told me we was only doing one coat so I had to complain and monitor him too. After all that they still didn't even know how many coats he was going to do. I am having someone else fix the damage to the wood they never fixed and still looks horrible. I am just glad it's over.

Under no circumstances should you use this company. As I said before they don't even do the work, the sub it out to someone who gives you their card, in my experiences for handyman services, not even painting, and this company never contacts you again except for payment, lol. If I had not involved Trust Dale, I don't believe they would have fixed what they did.
