Recently after a short stay at a local hospital I was admitted to Country Villa Sheraton for convalescing and Physical Therapy for strengthening my body before returning home. I live in an apartment in a near by town.
I live alone and find some chores hard to manage. Villa Sheraton was recommended and seemed a good fit.
The evening arrived was my birthday.
I was shown my room and as I sat on my bed, I contemplated what would happen next. I wanted to go home, sleep in my own bed and felt uneasy.
Four very gentle women slowly diffuse and I concede to give it a chance.
The following morning, after much needed sleep and a chance to cool down. The nursing staff brought coffee, and next was breakfast. They smiled, were upbeat, and my apprehension began to fade.
Someone I came to my room, inquired how I slept and told me how the day would play out. My schedule for PT was most important, to regain stamina and have three meals a day,
I liked the energy of the staff, their empathy, and understanding. Non judge mental, and the variety of personalities. Completed of the picture.
The following is a review of what I encountered.
The staff were warm and welcoming, and accommodating.
rooms, bathrooms.lines changed everyday and as needed.
I did have issues with the food as I have a strict diet for my health. I would love a vegetarian menu.
There are 138 beds total but since the Pandemic, far fewer.
Activities are brought to the guests room for less socializing and safety.
Quiet evenings, a place to rest and heal, and great PT suited to ability with encouragement.
I feel confident that I will feel stronger when I return home
