I went to Custom Bodies Fitness with my mother, who is in her 60's and who is a personal training client of the owner, Dave. She's been working out with Dave for a few months now and has gotten great results - she's getting stronger and has lost 25 lbs or so, and more importantly, is exercising regularly for possibly the first time in her life, or at least in the last 20 years or so! Dave created a great workout for us to complete together - he picked exercises that we could both do, and then set the appropriate loads so we would both be challenged. The exercises were innovative and effective, and it was great to see my mom doing planks! Dave is a great motivator - he pushes just enough to get things done, but isn't yelling and screaming at you.

This wouldn't necessarily be MY first choice in a gym, since it lacks some of my favorite equipment (rowing machine, kettlebells and squat rack, for instance), but if you're a fan of cardio machines (bikes, treadmills) and machine-based weight training (as well as some basic free weight stuff) then this gym seems great - it wasn't crowded at all when we were there in the late afternoon, and is very nicely maintained.

In short, I wouldn't hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend this gym, and Dave as a trainer, for anyone of my mother's age who's looking to get fitter, stronger and healthier. Dave has a great attitude and is very motivating.
