My mother is currently in Evelyn Ward there. She had a hip operation and is elderly. She now has post operative delirium which isn t being treated at all. They seem to be ignoring it. In addition, I cannot get much information about my mother s health from the staff as I do not have the POA. I may not be down as next of kin but I love my mother and should be told how she is. Some members of staff give some information, others do not and appear even to be rude! This is not the way a concerned family member should be treated! This seems ridiculous as I am her daughter and want the best for her. I am not allowed to visit due to the virus. Only my sister with the POA can visit. I don t mind this so much as I understand the problem with Coronavirus. But I am unsure whether my mother is getting the best care there. She told me last night she isn t going to try and live as she feels terrible. This is very distressing and I am a concerned daughter.
