After more than a year of bringing my youngest to HipHop on a Saturday morning I have decided to revisit my review of Dance City and upgrade my rating.

The staff have always been helpful, great communicators and the whole building is spotless.

Studio facilities are as one would expect, large, purpose built studios with sprung floors.

The children all seem to love the classes that I see and they have adult classes of differing levels.

From the shows I have seen, classes and feedback from others I would suggest that Dance City is a great place to learn and develop dance skills for most people interested in stress free (exam free) progression in many styles. There is also a degree programme here with one of the local universities.

When it comes to Ballet this is no White Lodge and the adult classes seem to teach the male participants in the feminine style which is a little disconcerting, however I find myself unable to recommend Dance city more highly for the people of Newcastle
