I purchased a ml350 on December 30, 2017. Less than 6 months later my car had water damage from rain just by being parked in my driveway. I didn t know this at the time so after a week of not driving it I decided to take a road trip but less than 5 minutes after leaving my house the car totally broke down on the side of the road. I was towed to the Mercedes dealership. By the end of the week they figured out what was wrong with it. They called me 2 weeks later and told me I can come pick it up because they fixed the problem, a piece on the car that drains the water off failed causing it to flood it and also that I need an oil change and it needed new rare break pads. I barely ever drive the car because I have a another primary vehicle. So here s my question, did they NOT inspect the car before selling it again??! This is a certified preowned vehicle so all of this should have been taken care of prior to me purchasing it. They ended up taking care of it after I informed that was their responsibility bc I just bought the darn thing and it sits n my driveway! I pick the car up and once I get 2 blocks from my house I notice they did not put the rare panels back in correctly. The panels were separated from each other with open tongs showing AND not to mention in the process of them replacing the panels they ripped the leather car door handle! So no one inspected this car before calling me to tell me to come pick it up? Now I m concerned that the other work they did is haphazard as well. At this point Mercedez is riding off their name, not the quality. With today s technology they are no different from a Nissan dealership, just a little more stylish. Very, very disappointed in the quality of service here.
