the technician was knowledgeable and friendly BUT the higher up cussed me out and blamed me for the scheduler not correctly assigning the job as a "project".

I needed some registers and returns moved, new thermostats with multiple sensors and some other work. I requested someone come and get a visual and write up a quote. When the tech was out I even asked if there was anything owed for the day and he said no it would be a project and the estimate was free.

A few days later I get a bill in the mail for a couple hundred dollars. I call and ask and the lady informs me that it was a service call and I had to pay. I told her I asked for an estimate for the work she said she would have someone else call me.

I get a call this morning and the guy is just 100% blaming me for "not saying the right thing" whatever that means. I know I was clear about just wanting an estimate. I was ready to pay for a project in the 1000's so it's not that I care about a couple hundred it's the principal that they said one thing and did another.

It's bad enough I was misinformed(lied to) about the cost but it's a whole other ball game when I get some jerk cussing me out over the phone.

I can not recommend anyone work with Cook's Mechanical.
