Kempinski Dresden October 20 - October 22, 2018

Standard room was booked, we received an upgrade to a business suite on the 2nd floor, many thanks for that.

Check-in was friendly and quick, our luggage was brought to our room without asking.

The room was impressive, full bath, guest toilet, living room, separate bedroom. (see video)

2x mini bar available in the room, but high prices. Beer 0.33 => 4.50 euros.

1x free mineral water was available in the room.

The room was clean, facing the side street, no noises could be made out.

The mattresses were too hard for our taste, we woke up in the morning with back pain.

The bathroom is getting on in years, the sink is too deep and the tiles are from the 80s.

Although there were 2 TVs in the room, they are much too small if you live in a "business suite".

Nespresso machine is available in the room, but no original capsules are used, which is very weak!

W-LAN is free, but very, very slow, no upgrade possible.

There is an underground car park next to the hotel. (Costs 24 euros / day).

Unfortunately the pool was still not available. The reopening is planned for the end of November, according to statements from the employees.

The breakfast buffet is certainly not a bargain at 33 euros, but it is impressive. There is something for every taste, waffles are freshly baked on request or the orange juice is freshly squeezed.

Conclusion: Under the name Kempinski I had a certain idea of this hotel, unfortunately this was not 100% fulfilled. The hotel is getting a bit old, in some places the current status should urgently be applied.
In comparison with the Jumirah Frankfurt (also 5 stars) the Kempinski unfortunately draws the shorter one.
