I spend a lot of time travelling and stay in plenty of hotels. The quality can certainly be mixed.

This is a great hotel.

I arrived by train, walked to to the taxi rank, waited awhile with not a cab in sight. It was a dreary day otherwise I'd have walked, but I just didn't fancy that. So I called the hotel in the hope that they could give me a number for a local firm, or better still, call one for me.

They did better than that. The girl I spoke to on reception said they'd send a shuttle out to collect me. After 10 minutes a Ford Ka pulled up and a smartly dressed young lady jumped out, apologising profusely that she'd not been able to locate the shuttle driver (he was on another call,) and would I mind going to the hotel in her car. Of course I didn't and we spent a pleasant 10 minutes chatting before arriving at the hotel.

Now that's what I call excellent service!

All of the staff were attentive and friendly, the room was very nice and the food was simply excellent. In terms of being a business hotel it also represented good value for money.

I may have to travel back to Goes at some point and I will definitely book the Hotel Goes.
