All in all, the company was fine, though not extraordinary, when we were paying through them. The online system for auto-pay was adequate. (The website is old and not user friendly but it works). We were never overcharged or had any issues.

I m frustrated, though at their lack of responsiveness and misrepresentation when we paid off the mortgage recently when we refinanced with another company. First, over a week after the loan had been paid off, I had still not received notification from them confirming that fact. I eventually got an email in response to an online inquiry and a letter a few days later. Second, almost three weeks after payoff, I have not yet received my escrow balance (nearly $10K). The website indicated it was refunded to me on May 1. I called on May 14 and was told that a check was mailed on May 12. Why the discrepancy?

And, since this company has sent two FedEx packages to me in the past six weeks trying to convince me to refinance with them, couldn t they send my escrow check via FedEx or at least registered mail?

I suppose that they don t think there s much incentive to treat a customer well after the loan has been paid off. But it is frustrating not to get better customer service in such an important matter
