I loved my experiences at this airport, both departing from, and arriving to. It is a bit off the beaten path (no major directional signage or highway to get you there), but your mobile phone GPS will get you there without a problem. Parking is a reasonable $65CDN per week, but be aware (at this time, anyway) there are no budget-minded Park And Fly outfits adjacent to the airport. There s an on-site Tim Hortons and, once you re thru security, a bit of a cafe serving sandwiches, hot dogs, coffee, and bottled soft drinks, beer, and wine. The seating at the gate area is spacious and much more relaxing than a typical airport. The airport is built at ground level, so there are no jetways. You walk out on the tarmac and up the stairs, just like the old days. I flew to Cancun and back from there. The customs staff at the airport moved people through very quickly. I did not check a bag, so I cannot comment on how long it takes for checked luggage to be off-loaded. I had no problem paying for parking on my way out of the airport (sort of a walk-up vending machine thing) and then exiting the lot by submitting my *paid* parking card at the electronic gate. I didn t experience the line of cars at the exit gate that some mention. Prior to this trip (April 2019), I d always flown out of Pearson, but from now on, I ll always look into Hamilton first. Everything about my experience here was excellent.

PS: I know some reviewers seem to be using this space to review Swoop Airlines (my experience with them was great, btw), but I tried to focus my review strictly on the airport facility, it s staffing, and its amenities. I was impressed by all of it.
