My family all had a great time. If you're looking for a hotel to stay at but refuse to pay for parking like myself then stay in Newport, KY which is just 10 minutes from the zoo and across the bridge. Very easy to get to. I personally like this zoo better than St. Louis zoo, but one thing this zoo could improve on is drink stations more frequent. We got there at 9 am and walked for awhile before we found a stand open to get a drink. Sure, you could go in and buy a $3.50 bottle of water but I wanted a bigger cup.
