Anyone not wanting a death wish avoid this place like the plague! I have worked in numerouse hospitals around the country & JFK is the worst hospital I have ever seen as far as patient care! They are not worried about HIPPA as they continuely leave electronic medical records open so anyone can read your chart. The employees do not seem to give a rats ass as to whether they help you or not. My mother in law is a patient here and is a fall risk. She called the nurses station and told them she had to use the restroom and te cna came into tge room and told her to get up and use the toilet herself even though she was aware of the fall risk! My mother in law dropped her heart monitor in the toilet and she called the cna who picked it out of the poop and went to put it back in her pocket without so much as wiping it off! When the employee was questioned about it she got up in my wifes face and lied and said it did not happen. She was extremely rude and hateful! The RN who was supposed to take care of her in the ER was extremely rude toward all of us and avoided her. She had no call light and she was a fall risk but they did not put an armband on her designating this until the next day after my wife said brought it to their attention. The incompetence is unbelievable & I cannot understand how this hospital continues to stay open. This hospital is a safety hazard & I will never come here again!
