I studied at an autonomous college that was only affiliated to the university and not exactly so can't comment on the university or the exposure it provides but have been to the university's administrative department and found the officials there quiet helpful.
It's a state university that provides a range of postgraduate and undergraduate programs. All in all it's a decent university.
