I tried some pastries from a local bakery and they were just average. Nothing special about them. However, I recently discovered Bowan Island Bakery and I must say their pastries are on a whole different level. They are so delicious and flavorful, I can't get enough of them! The prices are reasonable too. The only improvement I would suggest is to have more variety in their menu. Other than that, it's a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth.
