A Dozier

I moved into an apartment managed by this company ...

I moved into an apartment managed by this company The Cedar apartments in October 2016, by the end of November 2016 I realized this was a terrible mistake. They literally do the bare minimum. My apartment had a persistant issue with water bugs (they are the size of your thumb). I complained multiple times about the bugs and I was told to wait until they scheduled the pest control guy to spray. I literally saw 1-6 water bugs a day. I killed and/or removed 63 of them in the month of November alone. Again, I asked multiple times for them to address the bugs and the only thing they would do is spray 2x a month. As a single man, I invited ladies to my apartment and they ran as soon as they saw these bugs. Friends were deterred from visiting and every weekend I was out of town, I came home to at least one dead water bug. In February 2017 I placed a notice to vacate and 10 days later a water bug climbed into my bed and bit me on my arm in my sleep. After 4 months of complaining and a bug biting me they decided to spray the entire building the next day because "multiple people complained" about bugs. Not once did they ask if I was ok, pay my doctor bill or reduced my rent. It wasn't until after I took them to court and specifically asked that they apologized. I was one of more than a dozen people who left. This management company did absolutely nothing to reach out to me proving my life meant nothing to them. Living here means living with 1 inch wide, 2-3 inch long water bugs that might bite you while you are demanded to pay over $1000 a month in rent. It's not worth it to me.
