I ve been working with a female victim of a brutal attack who has an upcoming court date. She and I have tried to contact the office for assistance numerous times. We get put on hold for hours, transferred throughout the building, and placed on hold again. We ve been given promises of email responses several times concerning very pertinent information, and never receive anything, no phone calls are returned. I m angry and hurt that so many people in this office have such a low regard for victims and the willingness to help them. These are professionals who also fall under the category of to protect and serve . It truly saddens me, I wouldn t be able to sleep at night knowing that I didn t do my job to the best of my ability, and didn t help somebody that really needed it.
