I come to coffee shops for the cozy, warm, friendly atmosphere - to drink tea, smile, have a bite to eat, read, work. King George Cafe meets the cozy and warm requirements, but is certainly not friendly. I came in and the staff didn't even look up to say hello. It wasn't as if they were too busy - it was early and I was the only customer there. The entire time I was there, it was if I was invisible. If you don't even bring your customers' orders to their tables, your only opportunity to create relationships with them becomes your "hallo's" and your "tot ziens." Today, in that regard, you failed.
I'll be back to give it another chance; the ambience is worth it. But King George, next time, say hello - you're not too cool for that.
