Our stay at the Lalit Goa was one of the most horrendous experience we have ever had staying at any premium property in Goa ( have tried Hilton and Hyatt, and both were better that Lalit). Starting with for the first day of our stay they gave us a complimentary upgrade but during the check out from that suite, a hotel person came and checked each and every drawer and almirah and light and speakers while we were there. Looked like we were some thugs under scrutiny. They could have checked the room when we were out and since we were staying there for 2 more days, it was totally unnecessary to make us wait in the room while the checking was happening.
Secondly, they refused to serve ice tea in the room with no logic to back that up.
Our bathroom drain hole was uncovered and while using the bath tub room got flooded with water.
May be they didnot like us making the booking via MMT or we were not "not Indians" or we were not a part of larger group.
Nevertheless our first and last stay Lalit. Definitely do not recommend booking this property. It totally ruined our first anniversary celebration / vacation.
Definitely not worth the money spent and by no ways it lives up to its 5 star reputation.
