Unloaded 20 pallets (metric ton each) this morning...

Unloaded 20 pallets (metric ton each) this morning. Driver refused to help bring product to the back of the truck. He sat in the cab with the AC on while I moved 2 pallets to the back of the truck then climbed down got on the forklift and unloaded them. I then returned and moved 2 more back. After a bit I was able to get a lift driver so I didn't have to climb up and down. I am 65 this year, and have 2 bad knees that need replaced. The driver was about 30 and appeared to be in excellent heath. This BS may fly in Ohio but it doesn't happen in the west. Do not hire this outfit unless you have a dock and a lift that can run in and out of the truck. I have been receiving a couple of trucks a month on average for over 35 years and this was the worst behavior I have witnessed. Per the driver it is company policy and not his fault. Had the driver had a medical issue or not been physically able to help, I would not have complained. Did I mention he was 4 1/2 hours early so the help I had planned was not available. He wanted unloaded but refused to help. I should have just made him wait but unlike him I was not raised to be rude.
