Well just when I have begun to lose hope in excell...

Well just when I have begun to lose hope in excellent customer service existing anymore I am proved wrong in the most unlikely circumstances. So here I am having just purchased my dream car last week and I m cruising along the interstate carefree and thinking, today has been a solid day . Well I d say almost exactly when I had that thought I also heard a bell go off and my dashboard light up letting me know that my new dream car had a flat tire. Ugh. I was on my way to a clients home for an appt nonetheless and so I turn around at the airport and begin back east towards home.

I had forgot about the fact that my tires were Run Flats and would drive sparingly for up to 50 miles but not knowing the extent of the damage I googled( not while driving of course) and located the nearest tire shop which happens to be one exit up on poplar level. I was thrilled but to make matters worse this happened at 530 today and I knew they would be closing soon. I pulled in and immediately upon entering the shop was greeted by this Angel named Kelly. This guy from the moment I walked in ( did i mention they were about to close ) went 1000% above and beyond to ensure I got the help I needed. He knew upon initial ispection that these tires on this car were rare and could not be found many places and so instead of telling me to go somewhere else this guy Kelly spent an hour ( did I say it was after they were closed?) helping me call around and find someone who could fix my tire tonight.

About an hour into both of us calling everywhere in town we realized that due to the time and the rarity of the wheel a fix tonight would not be an option. Kelly then went on to explain to me why my tire had gone flat and the importance of aligning my vehicle often to ensure I don t run through tires too quickly. He knew I had very little knowledge and so the fact that he explained how I could save money in the future was beyond appreciated.

So an hour and half later I finally got in my vehicle and pulled off following the directions that yes Kelly gave me as he was concerned if I didn t go backroads I would not make it on that tire. So all Kelly really did for me was calm me down, explain how to prevent this from happening in the future, take an hour out of his time after work to help me call everyone in the book for help only to eventually suggest that I buy two comparable tires from him at a huge discount of course and then instructed me to drive my car to a brand name tire store and pick up the tires in the morning taking them to said store for them to put on and align saving me about $700.

Oh and did I mentioned I tried on numerous occasions to tip Kelly for his efforts and time but this Saint would have no part in taking my money and instead let me know he was sorry this happened to me and he was just happy he could help out.

So here s the deal y all. Kelly and Consolidated Tire and Auto might have lost out on some big money tonight but what they did gain is a customer for life! Their new biggest fan! So if you re looking for a Tire shop that will treat you beyond amazing, looking to save you money, to be honest, to explain in detail what you need oh and basically treat you as if you were family then there s no reason to look further. Now if on the other hand you enjoy getting ripped off, treated like a moron and basically handled like your money was really theirs then you might want to stay away from this place and especially if a guy named Kelly is working that day. :)
