I can never make up my mind whether I like it here...

I can never make up my mind whether I like it here or not! I visited twice in one week recently and had two very different experiences with both food and service so I suppose the impression I get is that it's a bit hit and miss at times.
The first visit I had the food was lovely (had the beef burger) but the service was pretty poor, was ignored while waiting to be seated for ages, nobody acknowledged me at all for long enough to make me wonder were they finishing up for the day! That level continued throughout unfortunately, ages waiting to order, had no cutlery, couldn't get anyones attention to order coffee after, just very distracted even though it wasn't busy.
The second time I went it was a Sunday afternoon and the service was amazing! I had a very attentive and friendly waiter, he did an enjoyment check and made sure I was OK for everything! But this time the food was only ok, breakfast was so greasy, poached egg was cold and watery, just a few bits like that that made it hard to enjoy.
There's potential to be great here and I would definitely say give them a shot, the restaurant itself is lovely, and the atmosphere too!
