I booked an appointment about a week in advance for a shampoo style and cut. I told the receptionist that my hair is in really bad shape and it s going to take extra time. I also said on the phone that I recommend a stylist who is advanced and very patient. The receptionist said I will book you with the owner of the salon and I will note that you need additional time.

I got there and sat in the chair. The owner took one look at my hair and said, I can t help you! This is too much! He proceeds to feel throughout my hair and chuckles. Then he says, What happened! I can t do anything for you! He claimed he didn t have enough time. I told him how I spoke to the receptionist upfront that my hair would be difficult and that she allowed for more time. He said that obviously the receptionist didn t do their job because he only has 45 minutes. He again said there s nothing he can do and he doesn t have time for this. As I got out of the chair I felt embarrassed and walked towards the door. The owner then said, I ve been doing hair for 30 years and I ve never had to send someone away before! He kept chuckling like it was funny. Sure he apologized but it didn t seem genuine. He then asked if I wanted him to quickly spray some conditioner in my hair before I left but at this point I was near tears and completely humiliated. I told him no and just left.

I understand that my hair was pretty difficult at the time and I was prepared to pay whatever the added fees were for the longer service. However, I don t understand how someone whose been in the business for 30 years doesn t even try! How is it that someone of your tenure doesn t know what to do? I followed the necessary steps. I didn t come in and blindside anyone. I told the receptionist everything the stylist would have to deal with and I was honest. I m to be blamed for your staffs poor booking? All that aside I get mistakes happen but to just humiliate your customer like that in front of everyone instead of simply pulling me aside is unprofessional. To make me feel helpless and that no one can help me is just cruel.

Update: I was fortunate enough to reach Juut salon who were completely shocked when they heard about my experience and took care of me! Take that Aafusion Owner!
