It is the only well-preserved Roman theater in the Western world. There are two others in the world, one in Syria and one in Turkey. The acoustics are spectacular, the glance is worth the trip to visit it. Even the audio guides are well done, they help to enter a particular world, a theater, explaining the imperial policies of the time, and the effects of the different historical phases on the architectural structure. Over 10,000 seats, still today there are important lyrical and theatrical performances.
