At Holzer clinic when you check in you must sign a form basically saying anything the Dr does you must accept and pay for. When I was sick and needed a blood test the Doctor asked me and told me what he was testing for and instead of just running the one test necessary he ran 5 other tests that would tell him the same thing. These tests were never told to me I just received a bill with them on it and it cost over $600 for these extra tests. My wife is a physician and she told me that they unnecessary. I tried to talk to my Doctor he would not talk to me I wrote him and he still would not contact me, I talked to billing, and a manager. They all gave me the run around and the manager said she would look into it and call me back, she never did, they just sent my bill to collections. As far as I know from others this may not be uncommon practice with them. I would never go back to them. Also on a previous appt I had an EKG that the doctor looked at and the test results were also sent to a Holzer Cardiologist who charged me over 150 dollars without my knowledge of him reading the test or any appointment or contact from the cardiologist. Once again I did not even know this was going on until I received a bill and I had already seen another cardiologist with another health group before I received that Bill and payed that cardiologist to do the heart test I needed.
