UPDATE: I was sent a bill that had an outpatient charge as well as an urgent care charge. I called billing to dispute this, as I wasn't given a choice of a Nurse vs a Physician's Assistant. I explained that the PA did not do anything a Nurse also could have done, and I did not request a PA, and I did not have a choice, so I want the outpatient charge dropped. They said since 'services were provided' that I am responsible for that charge. The outpatient charge is more than the urgent care charge, so I am being charged OVER twice the amount I should owe because of their mistake ($148.50 for urgent care vs $330.51 for seeing a PA at urgent care). I called billing and they said there was zero they could do, but that I could call and complain. I was hung up on, and provided two different answers as to what my 'guarantors' number is within the span of 5 minutes.

Went here because of the 4.1 star rating. It was also reasonably accessible from where I was at the time. Unfortunately, those are the only two upsides. The receptionist didn't acknowledge my presence after helping a different patient (whom she also blamed for her filling out the wrong paperwork) and asked 'Did you need to be seen?' As if there is another reason I'd be standing in a check-in line at an Urgent Care. She informed me that they have people check in at the kiosks next to the reception area, which I had tried to use, but it doesn't let you check in if you haven't been seen there before.

Next, I get into the exam room and the nurse indicates that the doctor will likely order an x-ray for my back to see what's going on. I went in after 3 weeks of constant back pain that was not helped by the 'normal' remedies of otc anti-imflammatory painkillers, rest, and ice/heat. After waiting for over 10 minutes in the exam room, despite coming in from an empty waiting room, they sent in a young PA instead of a Doctor. The PA saw me for MAYBE 10 minutes, did not order an xray, asked me questions and prodded my back/pelvis. She then determined that, despite being 25 and having done nothing that would normally strain a back, I have a low back sprain. She advised to do everything I had previously tried. I then waited 20 minutes in the waiting room for discharge papers, while the receptionists gossiped the whole time. I left in more pain than I arrived. I won't be returning.
