I am a resident in Saitama, I have only been in Japan for four months. Sales persons from NHK came to my apartment twice asking to fill an application (in Japanese) to get registered for NHK service. They were totally frauds and insisted that every resident who owns television in Japan must register with NHK service. They even asked for my cash card details which I denied and when I tried to call one of my Japanese friends for help, the sales person immediately went away. I am writing this because it happened twice.
