The San Francisco VA Medical Center is a first class medical facility. I served in the Vietnam Era US Army and I am thankful that I did. My medical care in the private sector was not good and very expensive. I enrolled in the VA system in the 90s and they have given me excellent care all the way. Most of the doctors and surgeons I have encountered are from UCSF, the best hospital in California. I am grateful to the surgeons, doctors, nurses, specialists and everyone else at the SFVA for saving my life. They are very kind and very skilled and very professional.
