The clinic was an interesting experience as people were waiting outside for about 15 minutes before anybody opened the door. We thought they weren t even open at 8:45 when we had an 8:30am appointment through the hotel. Finally the front desk lady came out and organized us into groups. Once we finally got inside she asked us for passports and payments but I told her we booked through the hotel and gave her the receipt. She said oh well the Dr comes to the hotel at 1, I don t know why they are sending you here. The hotel told us they only do testing from 8am-11am onsite, but we walked 5 minutes to this clinic. I told her we made an 830 appt because we have a tour at 10am and she said ok that shouldn t be a problem. We were finally seen at 9am, I had to redo the same paperwork the hotel gave us for some reason, then took about 5 mins for the nasal swab and were told to come back before noon, but I reminded her about the tour then she said ok come back in about 20 - 30 mins for the rapid test. Their PCR test returns results in 24 hours. Not sure why we would have had to come back before noon when the clinic is open 8a-445pm. Appointments are certainly suggestions on island time so plan accordingly. If I didn t have a tour scheduled, I wouldn t have minded since we stayed nearby. $55 rapid test and $110 PCR through the hotel, not sure if there s any difference going directly to the clinic.
