RUN in the opposite direction. I lived in this complex for 11 months. I complained that my heater wasn't working on January 18th and they never fixed it. I left my thermostat on 71 degrees all winter long and I was waking up to temperatures in the low 50's. I couldn't walk on my floor (carpet or vinyl) without wearing shoes. The apartment leasing manager even had the audacity at one point to tell me that my thermometer was wrong. They replaced my thermostat 3 times. All the while, my electricity bills were running $300+ to keep my apartment BARELY above 60 degrees. I never received any reimbursement for my electricity bills and I only received half a month worth of rent credit after I called their corporate office (Gaines Investment Trust) in La Jolla, California.

To top it all off, they tried to charge me $300 for cleaning (it was clean), a mini-blind, etc. upon move out. The Better Business Bureau will be getting a call soon. Read the other review on YELP, looks like this place is notorious for trying to screw people over upon move-out. RUN in the opposite direction.

Summary:

Coldest winter in recent Texas history + broken heater + poorly insulated apartments + audacious staff = not a good leasing experience.
