It took some time for me to check in; one staff member was on the 'phone trying to sort out a problem.
When the other staff member looked on the other computer, he couldn't find my booking. This was because I made two bookings and when my friend turned up to check in, the booking shifted to her name so my name couldn't be found initially.
My room was in the basement. I had booked a few months before but got the worst and last room available.
The room smelt musty.
The bathroom shower was delapidated - it looked old and worn out and the water flow was rather peculiar.
There were no USB point in the room but I realise that's a fairly new facility in hotels so I left my phone on Reception to charge from the computer there.
At breakfast I noticed a waiter taking what looked like poached eggs to a table but I never saw an offer of freshly cooked eggs.
There's no telephone signal in the Bentley Suite but I'm supposing that's not something that can be fixed.
We had a late drink - after 12.00 a.m. but had to wait quite some time for it to arrive
