Jay Taylor Review of Payit

The app allows users to enter and then delete payment options from their account PRIOR to your service actually paying the business entity that your service is collecting for.
In my case, your service actually sent me an email stating that I paid my bill. Then, because I dont trust keeping payment information on any website (keep Equifax Data breach in mind), I used the apps account maintenance function and deleted my payment info - again, only after receiving an email from your service stating that the transaction had processed. When payment was finally processed from your service, it was rejected and payment was not made to the related business entity. If the entire process is not completed when your email is sent, YOUR APP SHOULD NOT ALLOW DELETION OF THE PAYMENT INFO UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED BY THE BUSINESS ENTITY YOU ARE PROVIDING SERVICE FOR. OR atleast, a reminder to let those who pay using your app not to DELETE until the business entity who you are providing a service for has sent a receipt/acknowledgement of payment! Not doing so makes your app useless to both the paying user and the business entity your are providing a service for.
Providing lockbox or clearinghouse services for payment transactions should ensure that those transactions take place completely PRIOR to any receipt/acknowledgement of payment by your service. Another option would be to store the original transaction information processed by your service and still allow the deletion of the information. Either way, please update your apps functionality to ensure that future transactions are completed, stored as part of the original transaction, or atleast warn the account holder prior to allowing any account payment involved in a transaction to be maintenanced.
