I attended a beginners day course earlier this summer, which was hosted by Gyuri and it was an excellent introduction to using my DSLR in a more productive fashion than the 'auto' function. The course combined theory & practical photography in a nicely managed, easy to digest way and helped me understand the main basic functions of photography.

I would recommend the course to anyone who's interested in taking better pictures, but doesn't know where to start. I had my DSLR for around a year without feeling that I was getting much better - I'd read a few books, and had experimented a little but without much confidence. After the course, I've invested in a couple of new lenses and have been trying out a few of the techniques I particularly liked from the course.

All in - a great place to start learning the fundamentals of photography!
