As an amateur astronomer I was thoroughly impressed with Lowell Observatory. Unfortunately, I visited during Covid-19, and as such there was a limited amount of guided tours and freedom to visit the telescopes as I wanted to. That is supposed to open up in about a month or so, meaning August of 2021. Highly recommend the visit to anyone who has an interest an astronomy or history. The Clark refractor is truly amazing to behold in person. Walking in the footsteps of History where Pluto was discovered was an enjoyable experience. Try to plan your visit in such a way that the weather allows viewing through the telescopes on their observing deck, as it will add a lot to your visit.
