I enjoyed my stay and felt that the staff and infrastructure were both of high quality. However, there were 3 issues that I felt prevented me from giving my stay 5 stars:

1) both the sauna and steam rooms were closed the extent of my stay. This is disappointing. Would have hoped at least one would be functioning at all times.

2) the hotel has an excellent buffet offering at the Waterfall restaurant. HOWEVER, the service when ordering ala carte left something to be desired. After ordering an egg white omelette with regular hash browns (and, I felt, explicitly clarifying my choice) I was brought a regular omelette with deep fried hash browns 25 minutes later. I was late for my car to the airport which caused a bit of angst.

3) I had to call to down for additional bath gel AFTER housekeeping had prepared the room. Is it too much to expect that all amenities would be replaced / replenished after room cleaning?

I realize this review may seem a bit nit- picky but when one stays at a Shangri-La, the expectation is that the experience is near perfect. Each one of these incidents on its own is pardonable; however when experienced on the same stay, it leaves a bad taste. I will be in Singapore twice before the end of August and am unsure I will rebook.
