I was referred to eye surgeon, Dr. Samuel Boles by my ophthalmologist for a condition known as narrowing angles. When I first met with Dr. Boles he thoroughly went over everything about the procedure I would be having. The procedure I was getting is known as an iridotomy. It sounds a lot scarier than it was. I generally run the other way whenever I hear a doctor talk about any procedure that ends with "otomy."
Having never had eye surgery before, to say I was nervous would be an understatement. At our initial meeting I left feeling completely confident I was in good hands. Of course there was morning jitters when the day came I had to go in for the procedure. But Dr. Boles allayed all my fear. He spoke in a calm soothing voice that exuded complete confidence. I knew this was a man who must have performed this procedure tens of thousands of times before. Before even one minute passed, the procedure was over. I was in shock. That was it?
Don't put off getting a medical procedure that can preserve your vision. And if you're going to get eye surgery why go to a novice? I can't praise or thank Dr. Boles enough. I also can't recommend him enough. I feel like 5 stars is insufficient to rate this doctor.
