Barnsley Garden was truly a memorable mini-vacatio...

Barnsley Garden was truly a memorable mini-vacation getaway for the weekend. Southern hospitality at its finest and a resort that truly operates under the belief to always go above and beyond for their guests. Located in northern GA near the Blue Ridge Mountains, the resort is lush and breathtaking. Despite being only about an hour and a half from Atlanta, Barnsley Garden feels a worlds away. We were upgraded to a king suite, greeted by dog toys for our pets...did I mention that this resort is probably the most pet friendly destination in the South, maybe in the country. The fairy godmother who works to add personal and special touches for guests hosted a "Yuppie Hour" for the resort's furry guests. Our dogs were showered with even more dog toys, treats and a social hour...while we were offered wine and cheese as soon as we walked in. We also made a reservation for clay sport shooting and will be returning from now on due to our amazing experience thanks to everyone working at the sports club. We couldn't have asked for a better guide than Jason - we are planning to sign up for instruction classes with him...that's how much we enjoyed ourselves. Dinner was at The Woodlands Grill, which as one would expect, had excellent service. There are two dog friendly seats on the front porch for guests and we loved being able to bring our fur friends with us. Guests are also offered smores kits for the fire pits located in the central green. During the fall season guests have the option to havewood logs delivered to their porch for a personal smores experience. Our last day we checked out the historical manor and the museum guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone was so great and we will 100% be returning!
