We paid off our loan over four months ago. The lien release has not yet been filed with our county. Customer service agents give different answers/explanations, but none can tell me what the hold up is or what goes into filing the paperwork. The company said the paperwork was mailed in August, but has no proof/tracking and our county does not have it. I was told by several people we could get a copy of the paperwork, but that has not happened either. On my last call, I was told that a senior manager would call me back, and that didn't happen either. We had a very neutral relationship with the company leading up to this point, but this has been a huge headache.
