Alicia Murchie Review of Little Palm Island Resort & Sp...

I have only visited for lunch so far, but hope to stay for a longer trip sometime even though I live nearby. Little Palm is the embodiment of a retreat, and this appears to be supported by excellent customer service and friendly staff. Much of the island seems to underline their slogan, "get lost" in a charming fashion. It's an interesting blend of old and modern, rustic and developed, and a great example of this dichotomy is captured at the restaurant where the tiny native Key Deer peek in at you during your fine dining experience.
For first time visitors coming by land, you'll want to park at the Little Torch Key address and wait at the building there where your every need will be attended to until the scheduled boat arrives. If you've booked a stay this will all be explained ahead. If you're visiting for lunch, make reservations online or call, and plan to arrive 15 minutes early to make your boat and scheduled lunch. Traffic is highly variable and it's better to wait in the comfortable seating area for a bit longer than miss your boat or arrive harried.
There are a limited number of places non-overnight guests can explore around the island, but it's still a pleasant experience that gives a taste of the rest and makes you want to check out more. Great for a special occasion or romantic side trip.
