Lease buyers beware!!

August 2020 I just received a bill from Audi dealership for a lease return that happened in February 2020, six months and after I negotiated a new lease on a car!! At the time of a new lease, and when I returned the car, I was told it was all fine !!! so I went ahead and accepted the new car.
I received a $3500 bill for "excessive wear and tear" this month, I drove the car about 6,000- 7,000 miles less then allowed. I find this completely unacceptable, I could have taken the car to my insurance company to fix any and all issues but not six months after the fact.! It seems like all they wanted was to get me out with a new lease, regardless! *UPDATE* called the number that was given and I completely received the runaround.. no managers available to help me, transferred me to service department.
