Nurse and charge nurse super negligent and rude. I work at a hospital as a nurse assistant so I know how the hospital works. The care they gave for my aunt at this hospital was TERRIBLE. My aunt was on contact isolation and I observed as the nurse was changing my aunts dressing a wet gauze fell on the floor. This NURSE goes ahead and picks it up from the floor and continues to use that same gauze to clean my aunts wound. This is one of many mistakes I ve encountered while being here with my aunt. Another encountered I had recently was that the surgeon placed my aunt on NPO. There was about an hour in which my family and I stepped outside eat. When we came back upstairs we see my aunt drinking water, so we asked the nurse if that s fine because my aunts surgeon had said it wasn t ok. The nurse steps out and 5 minutes later comes to take the water back. Instead of her apologizing she goes ahead and say it was a mistake by the fellow. That the fellow gave the ok for my aunt to drink but now the surgeon called and said no. I don t understand how the nurse couldn t have checked in the system and seen that there was no order which allowed my aunt to drink. Minutes later my aunt starts throwing up and her wound starts draining. I could go on the list of issues this hospital has. I have always cared for my patients like if they where my own child and it is so sad to see that this hospital does not have the drive nor passion to care for the patients.
