It's well-located for Manchester Victoria and the surrounding areas, but it's overpriced and under-delivers. The rooms were comfortable enough but felt a bit dated - the plastic sink area could be forgiven for a cheaper hotel, for example, but not here. The rooms were also not particularly soundproof so the rattle of lifts was very noticeable, as was the gurgling of pipes and cranking of machinery. Despite putting the breakfast card outside the room, and it being taken, on one of the two nights I stayed nothing was delivered the next morning. Not a good start. Much could be forgiven if it were cheaper, but it isn't. With the range of hotels available in Manchester city centre, it feels hard therefore to recommend this one. I should, though, make a special comment about the staff, who were consistently cheery, polite and helpful.
