The Tower of London makes for a great trip, though I will warn you in advance that this is very popular location. If you think that arriving in the morning fresh faced is going to allow you to beat the crowds think again. The Tower is formidable to look upon and when I was with a tour guide we got to learn about the locations long and bloody history. On a lighter not for anyone who enjoys unique nonfiction, ask about how the first escape from he tower happened.
