The Bondora concept is great and they have been in business for years which makes the whole setup trustworthy.

That being said I have experienced issues with depositing money and days without a response from support:

- The first time there was an issue was when I used my VISA card to deposit money. It is nice to have this very fast and secure deposit option but Bondora does not seem to be able to technically implement it in a way that makes sense. When you use a normal IBAN bank account-transfer to deposit money, that account will show up as an account you can withdraw money to - but only until you decide to use your VISA card. After using your VISA the option to withdraw to your IBAN account disappears, which might make sense for some technical reason but not from an investor's point of view.

- The second time I had trouble was after I changed my bank to Revolut in order to not have to pay my main bank's huge transfer and exchange fees. Online forums advised me to start with a test transfer to see if everything was okay and my first deposit of a small amount worked like a charm with my money showing up in the Bondora account the next day. After doing the test I was confident that everything was fine so I went ahead and transferred a bigger amount. After 6 days there was still no sign of the money so I wrote to investor support with the relevant documentation attached. No answer until I sent the email again 2 days later and then the answer was a request for the exact same documentation that I had already sent. 9 days later my money was finally manually added to my Bondora account. Support explained that on rare occasions the reference information is not passed on by Revolut or Transferwise. I asked them to add that information to the FAQ but they don't want to do that because the issue doesn't happen very often. To me, that doesn't make sense since I would have loved to know that this is a known issue when using certain bank transfer options. Instead, for a few days, I had to consider my money to be lost!

Apart from these frustrations I still like my investment with Bondora. I was planning on adding an amount every month but since they can't get the VISA option to function in a sane way, I will probably just leave my investment at the current level and watch it grow.

Conclusion:
Recommended, but depositing and withdrawal can be a bit of a bumpy ride - and they do not always seem to be able to see things from an investor's point of view. Small technical tweaks could make this the best European P2P investment platform so let's hope for improvements in the near future.
