My frail diabetic mum who suffered major stroke a few years ago admitted after a bad fall. Staff very pleasant but for whatever reason the care is very poor. After 8 hours still waiting for a bed. Initially offered a sandwich which was kind but she's not eating. Only sipped a bit of water. I asked for an IV drip to give her fluids and make sure she doesn't dehydrate but two hours later still waiting. Nurse took blood sugar level 2 hours ago, no action. Lots of reassuring noises but no action. Meanwhile she is deteriorating.
I have given 1 star because the staff are courteous. If I was able to I would get her out of here now but that would be unwise given her current condition which has worsened since she arrived here.
